RI7.CCR. Anchor Standard: Integrate and evaluate content presented in diverse media and formats, including visually and quantitatively, as well as in words.
5.RI7. Draw on information from multiple print or digital sources, demonstrating the ability to locate an answer to a question quickly or to solve a problem efficiently.
5.RI7.1. Draw conclusions about the relationship between text features and the meaning and/or purpose of a text.
RI8.CCR. Anchor Standard: Delineate and evaluate the argument and specific claims in a text, including the validity of the reasoning as well as the relevance and sufficiency of the evidence.
5.RI8. Explain how an author uses reasons and evidence to support particular points in a text, identifying which reasons and evidence support which point(s).
5.RI8.1. Explain the relationship between the organizational pattern (i.e., how reasons and evidence are organized) and the meaning and/or purpose of a text (See CCSS RI.5.5.).
