ELA.6.20. Write arguments to support claims with clear reasons and relevant evidence.

Production and Distribution of Writing
ELA.6.23. Produce clear and coherent writing in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience. (Grade-specific expectations for writing types are defined in Text Types and Purposes.)
Range of Writing
ELA.6.29. Write routinely over extended time frames (time for research, reflection, and revision) and shorter time frames (a single sitting or a day or two) for a range of discipline-specific tasks, purposes, and audiences.
Conventions of Standard English
ELA.6.36. Demonstrate command of the conventions of Standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking.
ELA.6.36.5. Recognize variations from Standard English in one’s own and others' writing and speaking; identify and use strategies to improve expression in conventional language.
