Veins

Veins are blood vessels that carry deoxygenated blood back to the heart. They form part of the circulatory system and are essential for the transportation of blood throughout the body.

• Transport of Nutrients and Waste Products: Veins also aid in the transport of nutrients, hormones, and waste products, facilitating essential metabolic processes.

• Varicose Veins: Enlarged and twisted veins, often occurring in the legs, which can cause discomfort and lead to complications.
• Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT): Formation of a blood clot in a deep vein, typically in the legs, which can be dangerous if the clot dislodges and travels to the lungs.
• Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI): Impaired blood flow in the veins, often leading to swelling, skin changes, and ulcers in the affected area.
