Structure of Platelets
Platelets are not complete cells, but rather fragments of larger cells called megakaryocytes. They are about one-tenth the size of red blood cells and have a lifespan of around 8 to 10 days. Platelets contain granules that store various substances such as clotting factors, enzymes, and molecules that help in blood vessel repair.Function of Platelets
