A family is a group of people who are related to each other. Families can include parents, children, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Families come in all shapes and sizes, and each family is unique.
Types of Families
There are different types of families, including:
Nuclear families - consisting of parents and their children
Extended families - including grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins
Single-parent families - with one parent raising the children
Blended families - formed when parents with children from previous relationships marry
The student demonstrates an understanding of how science explains changes in life forms over time, including genetics, heredity, the process of natural selection and biological evolution by showing the relationship between physical characteristics of Alaskan organisms and the environment in which they live.
