Types of Altitude
There are several types of altitude:
True Altitude: The vertical distance of a point above sea level.
Geometric Altitude: The vertical distance of a point above the Earth's surface along a line from the point to the center of the Earth.
Pressure Altitude: The altitude in the International Standard Atmosphere at which the pressure is the same as the ambient pressure at the location in question.
