A mirror is an object that reflectslight in such a way that, for incident light in some range of wavelengths, the reflected light preserves many or most of the detailed physical characteristics of the original light.
Types of Mirrors
Plane Mirror: A flat mirror that reflectslight without forming an image.
Concave Mirror: A mirror with a surface that curves inward. It can form real or virtual images, depending on the object's position relative to the mirror.
Convex Mirror: A mirror with a surface that curves outward. It forms virtual, upright, and smaller images.
When light strikes a mirror, it bounces off at the same angle at which it hit the mirror. This process is called reflection. The angle of incidence is equal to the angle of reflection.
Uses of Mirrors
Personal Grooming: Mirrors are used for personal grooming, such as applying makeup and styling hair.
