Gravitational Force

The gravitational force is the force of attraction between two objects with mass. This force is what makes objects fall to the ground and keeps the planets in orbit around the sun.

Newton's Law of Universal Gravitation

According to Newton's law of universal gravitation, every particle of matter in the universe attracts every other particle with a force that is directly proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between their centers.

The formula for the gravitational force between two objects is given by:

F = G * (m1 * m2) / r^2

Where:

F is the gravitational force
G is the gravitational constant (6.67430 × 10^-11 m^3 kg^-1 s^-2)
m1 and m2 are the masses of the two objects
r is the distance between the centers of the two objects
