Thermometer

A thermometer is a device used to measure temperature. It consists of a narrow, sealed glass tube with a bulb at one end. The bulb and a portion of the tube are filled with a liquid, typically mercury or colored alcohol, which expands and contracts with temperature changes. The temperature is indicated by the level of the liquid in the tube.
