Mesosphere

The mesosphere is the third layer of the Earth's atmosphere, located above the stratosphere and below the thermosphere. It extends from about 50 kilometers (31 miles) to 85 kilometers (53 miles) above the Earth's surface.

Temperature: The temperature in the mesosphere decreases with increasing altitude, reaching as low as -90 degrees Celsius (-130 degrees Fahrenheit) at the top of the layer.
Atmospheric Pressure: The pressure in the mesosphere is much lower compared to the layers below it.
Composition: The mesosphere consists mainly of neutral gases such as oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide.
Mesopause: The boundary between the mesosphere and the thermosphere is called the mesopause.

Noctilucent Clouds: These are thin, wispy clouds that form in the mesosphere and are most commonly observed at high latitudes during the summer months.
Atmospheric Tides: The mesosphere experiences regular oscillations in temperature and density due to the influence of solar heating and gravitational forces.
Meteor Showers: Meteors burn up in the mesosphere, producing the streaks of light commonly seen during meteor showers.
