Conjunction Study Guide
A conjunction is a word that connects words, phrases, or clauses. It helps to join different parts of a sentence together. There are three main types of conjunctions: coordinating, subordinating, and correlative.
Coordinating Conjunctions

Subordinating Conjunctions
Subordinating conjunctions introduce dependent clauses and join them to independent clauses. They indicate a relationship between the dependent and independent clauses. Common subordinating conjunctions include:

Correlative Conjunctions
Correlative conjunctions work in pairs to join words or phrases with equal weight in a sentence. Examples of correlative conjunctions are:
- either...or
- neither...nor
- both...and
- not only...but also
