Natural Numbers

Natural numbers are a set of positive integers that are used for counting and ordering. They are the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and so on. In other words, natural numbers are the counting numbers that start from 1 and go on infinitely.

In set notation, we can represent the set of natural numbers as N = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, ...}. The ellipsis (...) indicates that the sequence continues indefinitely, as there is no largest natural number.

It's important to note that zero (0) is not considered a natural number. Natural numbers are used in many mathematical operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

In general, natural numbers are fundamental in basic arithmetic and are used in various mathematical concepts such as prime numbers, factorization, and number patterns.
