A triangle is a polygon with three sides and three angles. The sum of the three angles in a triangle is always 180 degrees. Triangles can be classified based on the length of their sides and the measure of their angles.
In a right-angled triangle, the square of the length of the hypotenuse (the side opposite the right angle) is equal to the sum of the squares of the lengths of the other two sides. This is known as the Pythagorean theorem: a² + b² = c², where c is the length of the hypotenuse, and a and b are the lengths of the other two sides.
