Rectangle
A rectangle is a quadrilateral with four right angles. It has opposite sides that are equal in length and parallel to each other. The properties of a rectangle include:
- Equal Opposite Sides: The opposite sides of a rectangle are equal in length.
- Right Angles: All four angles of a rectangle are right angles (90 degrees).
- Diagonals: The diagonals of a rectangle are equal in length and bisect each other.
- Area and Perimeter: The area of a rectangle is calculated by multiplying its length and width, while the perimeter is the sum of all its sides.
Rectangles are commonly found in everyday objects, such as doors, windows, and sheets of paper.
