Applied Research:
Applied research is aimed at solving a specific problem or addressing a practical issue.
The Research Process
Identify the Research Question:
Clearly define the topic or problem that you want to investigate.
Conduct Literature Review:
Gather existing knowledge and information related to the research question.
Formulate a Hypothesis:
Develop a testable statement that predicts the outcome of the research.
Design
the Research Methodology:
Determine the methods and techniques that will be used to collect and analyze data.
Collect Data:
Carry out the research according to the chosen methodology.
Analyze Data:
Use statistical and analytical tools to interpret the collected data.
Draw Conclusions:
Based on the analysis, draw conclusions that address the research question.
Communicate Results:
Present the findings through reports, presentations, or publications.
Study Guide for Research
To understand the research process, it's important to familiarize yourself with the following concepts:
Research Question:
What is the main question or problem that the research aims to address?
Literature Review:
Why is it important to review existing knowledge before conducting research?
Hypothesis:
How does formulating a hypothesis help guide the research process?
Research Methodology:
What are the different methods and techniques that can be used to collect data?
Data Analysis:
Why is it important to analyze data in research? What are some common tools used for data analysis?
