Reflection nebulae are clouds of interstellar dust which reflect the light of nearby stars. The dust grains in the reflection nebula scatter the light, making the nebula appear as a beautiful blue color. These nebulae are often found in regions where new stars are forming, such as in stellar nurseries and star-forming regions.
Reflection nebulae are formed when the light from nearby stars is reflected off the dust grains in the interstellar medium. These dust grains scatter the shorter blue wavelengths of light more efficiently than the longer red wavelengths, giving the nebula its characteristic blue color.
