Months are a way of organizing time based on the orbit of the moon around the Earth. There are 12 months in a year, and each month has a different number of days.
To help remember the number of days in each month, you can use a mnemonic device. One common method is to use the knuckles and the spaces between the knuckles on your hand. Start with your left fist and assign each knuckle and space a month. The knuckles represent 31 days, and the spaces represent 30 or fewer days. Here's how it works:
Start with your left fist and say the months as you touch each knuckle and space, starting with "January" on the knuckle of your index finger.
When you reach the end of your knuckles, go back to the beginning and continue with the remaining months.
