The troposphere is the lowest layer of the Earth's atmosphere, extending from the Earth's surface up to an average height of about 8 to 15 kilometers (5 to 9 miles). This layer is where the weatheroccurs and where most of the Earth's clouds and precipitation are found. It is also the layer in which we live and where most of the Earth'sair mass is contained.
Weather and Clouds: The troposphere is where most of the Earth'sweather phenomena occur, including the formation of clouds, precipitation (rain, snow, etc.), and the occurrence of storms and other atmospheric disturbances.
