Remembrance Day, also known as Armistice Day, is a memorial day observed in Commonwealth member states to honor the members of the armed forces who died in the line of duty during World War I and subsequent conflicts. The day is observed on November 11th each year to mark the armistice signed between the Allies and Germany, which ended the hostilities on the Western Front of World War I. It is a day to reflect on the sacrifices made by military personnel and civilians in times of war.
