Bolivia is a landlocked country located in South America. It is known for its rich indigenous culture, stunning landscapes, and diverse geography. The country is bordered by Brazil to the north and east, Paraguay and Argentina to the south, and Chile and Peru to the west.

Geography

Bolivia is characterized by its diverse geography, which includes the Andes Mountains, the Amazon Basin, and the Chaco region. The Andes Mountains run through the western part of the country, and include the highest peak in Bolivia, Mount Sajama. History

Bolivia has a rich and complex history that dates back to pre-Columbian times. The region was once home to advanced indigenous civilizations such as the Tiwanaku and Inca empires. In the 16th century, Bolivia was colonized by the Spanish and became part of the Viceroyalty of Peru. Bolivia gained its independence from Spain in 1825, and was named after Simón Bolívar, a leader in the South American independence movement.
