Condensation

Condensation is the process in which a gas turns into a liquid. This occurs when the temperature of the gas decreases, causing the molecules to slow down and come closer together. As they do, they lose energy and stick to each other, forming droplets of liquid.

Condensation is an important part of the water cycle, where water vapor in the air condenses to form clouds, fog, or dew. It also plays a role in everyday phenomena, such as the formation of droplets on the outside of a cold glass or the steam that appears on a mirror after a hot shower.
