Cube

What is a Cube?

A cube is a three-dimensional shape that has six square faces, twelve edges, and eight vertices (corners). All the angles in a cube are right angles, and all the sides are equal in length.

Formulas for Cube

Surface Area of a Cube = 6 * (side length)^2
Volume of a Cube = (side length)^3
Diagonal of a Cube = (side length) * √3

Example Problems

Problem 1:

Find the surface area and volume of a cube with a side length of 5 units.

Surface Area = 6 * (5)^2 = 6 * 25 = 150 square units

Volume = (5)^3 = 125 cubic units

Problem 2:

Find the diagonal of a cube with a side length of 8 units.

Diagonal = 8 * √3 ≈ 13.8564 units
